Just FYI not nearly enough people know that pretty much all dry food shortens the lifespan of cats and causes kidney problems….they evolved to eat raw bloody meat and positively nothing else, they aren’t even as “omnivorous” as dogs can be. Dry food by necessity contains stuff they can’t possibly digest. It is dry food because it has grains and shit in it that literally is not food to their body.
Our cat is like 15 years old and the only time she ate wet food was to stopp her kittens from eating solids so eirher this is untrue or I got a imortal cat.
to be honest being one of like, four available dark types as well as something that can learn fly that isn’t also excruciatingly boring is one hell of a sales pitch in gen 2 and is the entire reason I bothered breeding one with drill peck
i generally find most birdlike flying types excruciatingly dull to the point that when playing gen 1-2 games I almost never have anything capable of learning fly on my actual team and just yank a pidgey out of the pc whenever i need to get somewhere
I’m also not that big fan of birds so decided to get a Crobat for fly in crystal which was surprisingly easy (though I gave it gust by breeding with a pidgey so it would be easier to level up) evolved for me on the ghost gym leader.
the GUNTLET, the second enemy i’ve made for my game project. as its name implies, it functions as a basic turret. i’ve still got a lot of work to do on it, but most of its animations are fairly presentable at least.
I had a dream where @bogleech posted an “old favorite” that I didn’t recognize, even though I’ve been following Mortasheen since they were Necromon.
It looked like the carcass of a beaked whale, the flesh tattered and seemingly decaying, but the head was like a bit like a goblin shark, and out of its mouth protruded a fleshy anemone/flower-like organ that look like something prolapsing out, like a sock being turned inside out, and overall the whole thing looked a bit like this:
The thing’s gimmick was that it actually smelled sweet, like roses, even after it died. Bogleech claimed it was “based on species of Magnolias that used cyanide” on their pollinators, so I assume this thing’s perfume was also a deadly toxin, and the source of the perfume was the fleshy organ prolapsing out of its mouth.
Despite its popularity, bogleech wasn’t happy with the design, and felt it was too mundane, so he came up with new one:
Now the mouth opened from the top, so basically it now had its head on backwards, and looked bulkier and more sluggish.
wow, even in peoples dreams does @bogleech ruin good monsters with redesigns.
I felt like doing a redraw/redesign of one of my miscellaneous monster designs that i was still fond of, so here’s Twinflicker. I have a lot of random old creature designs that i’m still fond of and been meaning to draw again because their initial drawings have all aged pretty badly, but I usually never get around to doing that. Maybe this’ll be the catalyst that gets me started?

I mentioned that Yo Kai Watch 3 has a HUGE number of mini-games and side content that just keeps coming and 85 hours in I only just stumbled into another one:
unpopular opinion but the “[noun] time” minigames in all 3 yokai watch games are the most horrible and stressful part of the games and I hate every second of it.
it’s time for another cartoony dinodragon drawing! but i thought drawing nothing but snarly grumptiles might get a bit stale, so here’s Dragonite. I don’t recall ever thinking much of it back in the day, but in more recent years I’ve come to really appreciate the contrast between this guy’s status as a top-tier pseudo-legendary draconic powerhouse and his cartoony goofball design.
I also made his face a little more Moomin-esque for good measure.
